1989-1994
Scottish and British Supersport Championship First race was at Knockhill on the 9th April 1989. Finished 7th on a standard Honda CBR 600 complete with lights, hero blobs and even the registration plate. Finished 4th in British Supersport Championship 1994.

1995
World Thunderbike Championship Only 2 riders from the UK were selected to do this Championship which ran at all the European GP's. I started my own team Iain MacPherson Racing which consisted of myself and my mechanic Stuart (who now works for the factory Kawasaki Moto GP Team ). Finished 15th in Championship, after learning key aspects of how to go international racing.

1996
World Thunderbike Championship I was asked to ride for the now famous Ten Kate Honda Racing Team. Together we managed to race to victory at the A1 Ring in Austria and for the 1st time in 10 years we heard the British National Anthem being played at a Motorcycle Grand Prix.
