If you’ve ever fancied one-on-one riding tuition from a top-flight World Championship level racer your prayers have now been answered. Ex-World Supersport and BSB rider Iain Macpherson is now in the business of passing on his vast riding and racing experience to those of us who wouldn’t mind slashing the odd second off our lap times.

We turned up at one of Niall Mackenzie’s superb ‘Track Attack Premier’ track days at Donington Park, and following on his own GSX-R1000 Macpherson gave me advice on everything from racing lines to throttle control and riding position.

It didn’t stop there. We talked about how to prepare for racing in general; things like diet and training advice and how to train mentally. I still can’t believe I got to bend the ear of someone of MacPherson’s calibre for a whole day, and he can do the same for you (so long as I didn’t put him off with a day-full of stupid questions). It’s definitely improved my riding and outlook to racing."
